Queen’s University Future Stars
Congratulations to Year 14 pupil Hannah Milligan and Year 12 pupil Ewan Morrison who were selected to attend the 2026 Queen's Sport Future Stars Gala - a celebration of young talented athletes from across the Province in GAA, Hockey, Soccer, Rugby and Rowing, held the Whitla Hall. Following a vigorous selection and trial process, the top athletes were selected and presented with their 2026 Future Stars Jersey during the evening’s celebrations.

University of Cambridge Law Conference
During the Easter break, Year 13 pupil Will McIlveen travelled to Selwyn College, University of Cambridge, to take part in an ‘exploring law’ conference. The participants had the opportunity to tour the Law Faculty and the other Colleges, attend lectures on constitutional, land, roman, tort and criminal law, and take part in a law firm workshop presented by Prof Markus Gehring. DKMS
On Monday 20 April we welcomed Juliana and Louise from DKMS, an international charity dedicated to the fight against blood cancer and blood disorders, who inspired our Year 13 and 14 pupils with a powerful talk on stem cell donation. Pupils had the opportunity to join the register and take a simple step that could one day help save a life.

Local Women Sports Awards
Congratulations to Year 11 pupil Teddy Weston who was invited to attend the Local Women in Sports Awards on Saturday evening where she was a finalist for Young Sportswoman of the Year 2026. This is the second successive year that Teddy has been a finalist – in April 2025 she was presented with the Young Sportswoman of the Year Award.

Athletics News
Congratulations to Oliver Prince, Year 10, who competed in both the triple jump and long jump at the recent Irish Juvenile Indoor Athletics Championships. Oliver, a member of the Irish Triple Jump Development Squad, finished in 4th place in the triple jump (11.0m) and 10th in the long jump (4.88m).

First Tech Challenge
Congratulations to our FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics team who competed at the Northern Ireland qualifying tournament on Wednesday 25 March. FIRST Tech Challenge is a global competitions where pupils become innovators, engineers and problem-solvers. SistersIN 2025-26

Outright - Human Library
As part of our work to develop empathy, Outright recently arranged the second meeting of our very own Human Library, where pupils and staff come together to hear from speakers from other cultural backgrounds. Duke of Edinburgh’s Award
A very different weather vibe for our second Bronze cohort who had to follow the contingency plan of camping under shelter this week. They used their navigation skills and displayed great teamwork in difficult conditions and everyone managed to complete their qualifying expedition. Well done all!

Spanish Department News
Members of our senior Spanish classes have arrived to beautiful sunshine in Granada. Following lessons on the first day the pupils had a tour of the city. They are enjoying the Spanish culture along with trying traditional dishes and have settled in well with their families.
