The application process for the SistersIN programme began in June 2025 and a number of our current Year 13 girls were selected for the 8-month leadership programme which is facilitated by schools in collaboration with leaders and businesses across Northern Ireland.
The girls were introduced to their mentors at our school coffee morning and job shadow day and met with them regularly throughout the course of the programme virtually. The mentee/mentor relationship allowed the girls to grow in both confidence and leadership, while offering guidance as the girls completed their chosen projects which they had to plan and run. Projects included a wellbeing hockey event, a biology club, a House hockey tournament and Spanish lessons for primary school children. After completing the 10 programme modules, the girls thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the SistersIN Women in Leadership event at the City Hall and the final celebration event at the Waterfront Hall.
Thank you to SistersIN for facilitating the programme. It has positively impacted the girls’ personal growth as future women in leadership while building confidence and broadening their career perspectives.
