GCSE

At GCSE, pupils follow the CCEA Technology and Design and/or the EDUQAS Electronics specification. The Design and Technology course teaches design, electronics, mechanisms and problem-solving through creative and technical projects. The Electronics course develops skills in circuit design, systems, logic and problem-solving, with a strong focus on practical work and applying science and maths.

A Level

At A Level, pupils follow the CCEA Technology and Design and/or the EDUQAS Electronics specification. The Technology and Design course explores design, materials, electronic systems and product development. It builds creative, technical and problem-solving skills. The Electronics course covers analogue and digital systems, microcontrollers, communication and power electronics. It builds strong practical, design and problem-solving skills.

Co-curricular Activities

Pupils engage in a range of enrichment opportunities, including representing the school in various competitions. Links with local industry and school-based clubs provide further avenues for pupils to explore their creativity, problem-solving and technical skills. These experiences support both their academic progress and personal development in design and innovation.
