Government and Politics Department News

We were delighted to welcome the leader of the SDLP, Claire Hanna MP, to the School on 30 September to speak to our A Level Politics classes. Over 50 of our pupils were able to hear Claire talk about her journey in Politics, about SDLP policies and the work of the party in Opposition in the Northern Ireland Assembly and about Westminster politics and the life of an MP. The pupils also had the opportunity to ask a wide range of questions, including questions about current events in Northern Ireland, which helped enormously with their Politics course.
