We were delighted to welcome two scientists, Dr Frances Weldon and Mrs Claire Campbell, from Almac Sciences to work with our Year 13 students on Tuesday 16 June. The pupils gained a fascinating insight from Claire, a BHS Alumni, into career pathways in the pharmaceutical industry, learning first-hand about the diverse opportunities available in chemistry and beyond. The highlight of the session was a hands-on practical activity hosted by Dr Weldon analysing aspirin, where students applied their analytical skills and experienced real-world laboratory techniques used in industry. A huge thank you to the Almac outreach team for such an engaging and inspiring session - helping our pupils connect classroom learning with future careers!
