A Level and AS Results 2026

We enjoyed a fantastic morning in School celebrating the success of our Year 14 and 13 pupils as they received their examination results. At A level, 90.1% of pupils achieved 3 or more grades at A*-C with 96% of all grades awarded being A*-C. These successes are testament to the hard work and resilience shown by our Year 14 pupils and the dedication, support and encouragement provided by families, staff and governors.

Reflecting on her time at Belfast High School, Head Girl Lily Prince (Victoria PS) who is going to study Biomedical Science at Queen’s University remarked that “as I move to Queen’s for my university studies, I take with me many wonderful memories of my time here at Belfast High School. It has been a privilege to be part of such a caring community with teachers and support staff who go the extra mile to give us the best chance to succeed.”

Head Boy Ben Gardner (Greenisland PS) will also be going to Queen’s University and will be studying Business Management with Placement. Speaking this morning, he recalled the level of support and encouragement that he received throughout his time at Belfast High School both inside and outside the classroom. Ben noted that “Belfast High School has provided me with the opportunities to move on to the next stage in my education with confidence. I know that the friendships that I have made here will last a lifetime.”

We wish all our Year 14 pupils well as they embark on the next steps of their educational journey and look forward to learning of future successes as they continue to flourish beyond Belfast High School.

At AS level, over 90% of all results were graded A-C. This provides our pupils with a strong foundation as they continue with their A level studies in Year 14.
