Learning for Life and Work helps pupils make informed decisions about personal, social, economic and employment issues.
Pupils develop their understanding of national and global issues, society and the economy helping them to become confident contributors to society.

CURRICULUM
Key Stage 3
At Key Stage 3 pupils study four subject strands: Employability, Local and Global Citizenship, Personal Development and Home Economics. It builds on the Personal Development and Mutual Understanding at primary level seeking to bring closer links between the curriculum and the knowledge, skills and capabilities that are necessary for life and work.
GCSE
At GCSE pupils follow the CCEA specification. Pupils study three modules, Employability, Local and Global Citizenship and Personal Development. Each holds a 20% weighting with a further 40% available through a Controlled Assessment Task.
Co-curricular Activities
Pupils enjoy a wide range of co-curricular opportunities including First Aid/First Response training, working with the Stormont Education Service, links and opportunities to support the work of various local charities.
