Topics covered include Becoming a Scientist, Particle Theory, Elements and Compounds, Acids and Alkalis, Gases and The Reactivity Series.
GCSE
At GCSE, pupils follow the CCEA GCSE Chemistry specification. Pupils are encouraged to build on their previous learning, applying their knowledge to real life situations and further develop their practical skills.
A Level
At A Level, pupils follow the CCEA specification. This further encourages pupils to become competent and interested Chemists who will be numerate, practical, and analytical, with good problem solving skills.
Co-curricular Activities

In Chemistry we offer a range of extra-curricular opportunities for our pupils including Junior Chemistry club, Mole Day, Salters events, RSC Chemistry Olympiad and IRIS project.
