A LEVEL AND GCSE SUBJECTS
The school curriculum aims to develop the knowledge, skills and capabilities that our pupils will need to thrive in the fast-moving world of work and society in the 21st Century.
The curriculum is broad, balanced and flexible with planning informed by pupils’ interests and abilities.
GCSE LEVEL
In Key Stage 4, pupils complete nine or ten GCSEs including English Language, English Literature and Mathematics. Additionally, they can choose from a wide range of subjects which will enable them to develop their knowledge and understand and help them to continue to pursue their interests.
The GCSE Information Booklet below outlines information about each subject offered at GCSE.
A LEVEL
In Sixth Form, pupils complete a minimum of 3 A Level subjects.
Pupils wishing to continue to A Level, or who wish to join Belfast High School for Sixth Form, should read the information in the Sixth Form Information Booklet below which outlines the content and entry criteria for each subject offered at A Level. This booklet should be read alongside the Admissions Policy (Sixth Form) which can be accessed here.
