Laura Stewart - Head Girl
My name is Laura Stewart and I have the honour of being appointed Head Girl of Belfast High school. This is a very important role within the school, one which requires me to work closely with both pupils and teachers and to employ many of the skills I have developed during my time at Belfast High School. I will carry out my duties to the best of my ability and I hope to become a role model for the younger pupils of the school.
Throughout my time at school I have benefited from the dedication and support of all the teachers. They have helped me develop and reach my potential and have prepared me for life after school.
Belfast High offers many opportunities for its pupils to participate in clubs and activities. I have enjoyed being part of many of these; from the school hockey team to Science debating. They formed a valuable part of my school life and have helped me develop many of the skills I need to continue my education
My time at school has been a great one and I am very proud to say that I come from Belfast high School. I will leave with many happy memories.
Michael Adair - Head Boy
My name is Michael Adair and I have been given the very great honour of being selected as the Head Boy of Belfast High School for the academic year 2009/2010.
I am extremely proud to serve as an ambassador of the school which has given me so much over the past six years and which has shaped me into the person that I am today.
I very much hope that through my role as Head Boy I can further maintain Belfast High School’s image as one of the most outstanding Grammar Schools in the country and that I can also inspire my fellow pupils to feel a pride and sense of belonging in their school, as I have continuously felt.
My years at Belfast High School have granted me many invaluable and unforgettable opportunities, be it the chance to perform with the school Wind Band to a full concert hall in Berlin, to participate in an award scheme established by the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and of course simply to have made as many great friends as I have done.
As I enter my final year of secondary education I am highly grateful for the knowledge and life skills I have gained at Belfast High School, owed in no small part to the influence of the truly inspiring teaching staff who constantly give away their time for the benefit of the pupils.
Being a pupil at this school has granted me a wealth of wonderful and happy memories and it is with my new highly privileged position that I hope to share my experiences, my enthusiasm and to lead by example so that every pupil can enjoy their time at the school and benefit as much from their education here as I have.
