Belfast High School Old Girls' Association
The Association has been in existence almost as long as the School! We donate modest sums of money each year to our Alma Mater. We are mainly funded through Members' Annual Subscriptions, currently set at £10 per annum - still very little to pay in order to "keep in touch"!! Money has been used for the benefit of the Music and Art Departments and this year the School was able to purchase a high specification minibus with the help of our donation. The Association also gives money annually to various charities - this year our choices are Chest, Heart and Stroke and Breast Cancer.
Activities
The Old Girls meet three times a year to re-establish contacts, mostly meeting up in the Sixth Form Centre of the School. There is never a better feeling than meeting up with a school friend after a period of several (or more) years and renewing that acquaintance Different guests are invited along . The Annual General Meeting and Dinner is always held in May - this year the venue was the Templeton Hotel in Templepatrick.
Paula Creighton, herself a former pupil and now a teacher at Belfast High School, is our Liaison Officer and can be contacted through the School. Alternatively, Pamela McAllister, Honorary Secretary, can be contacted on 028 9263 8044. Please join us, you will be made most welcome.
