Kielder Challenge

Our team of L6 pupils - Tom McConkey, Megan Sexton, Bethany Sloan and Adam White - qualified once again with their team-mates from Jordanstown Schools for the final of the Kielder Challenge, held in Kielder Forest from 23 to 26 September. This national outdoor adventure competition has been running for 26 years and involves problem-solving activities that test the skills of a team to work together, communicate, plan and evaluate. The activities challenge teams of 8 (4 with and 4 without disabilities). After their success in winning the overall title last year, the team were delighted to be awarded the Spirit of Kielder Shield, the second time they have won this award in the past 3 years - well done!
