Olympic Ambassador for London 2012 - Adam White, Year 13

In October of 2009 I became an Olympic Young Ambassador for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This meant that I was given the task of going back to my peers and school and promoting the 7 Olympic and Paralympic Values and also increase awareness of the 2012 Olympic Games inLondon.

In my time as an Olympic Ambassador I have been elected to the Northern Ireland Steering Group for the Young Ambassador Programme. I have thrown a Mini-Olympics for pupils of a local Primary School. I also was the first person to take the Olympic Torch out of London for a press day in Northern Ireland.

In the future I have been asked to mentor new Young Ambassadors and also give more speeches about my time as a Young Ambassador.  I will soon be going to a conference in Londonfor a very select group of Young Ambassadors and will take on further responsibilities this year.
