EMACT Greek Certificates
Congratulations to 118 of our Year 10 pupils who successfully completed the EMACT Greek course last June. This is the largest number of pupils in one year group who have achieved their certificate.
The certificate is organised by the East Midlands Association of Classical Teachers and involves learning the Greek alphabet and how many English vocabulary words are formed from it. This is a cross-curricular programme as the Science, Maths, English, Religious Studies and History departments contribute to the teaching of the course.
Twelve pupils achieved a distinction (with a score of at least 63 out of 70). Special congratulations to Amiti Gibi who achieved the highest mark of 68. Fifty-four pupils achieved a merit and 52 achieved a pass.
