Northern Ireland selection for Kathy Hetherington
Kathy Hetherington was selected to represent Northern Ireland in the UK School Games in Wales from 3—6 September. The Games provide an opportunity for school age athletes to be part of a multi-sport event and to have an insight into competing at the highest level against athletes from around the UK. Kathy finished 5th in the discus with a throw of 31.37 metres.
Kathy has also competed twice recently for Ulster in the Celtic International Games and the Taliteann Schools’ Interprovincials and once for Ireland in the SAIB Schools’ International.
