Mathematics

Introduction

Mathematics is taught at all levels throughout the school.

 

Key Stage 3 Mathematics assesses the five key areas in Mathematics:

Number
Algebra
Shape, Space and Measure
Handling Data
Processes

 

Key Stage 4

All pupils at the end of Form 5 enter for NI GCSE at Intermediate or Higher Level and a number of pupils are entered for NI GCSE Additional Mathematics.

 

Advanced Level

Pupils follow a two year modular course covering Pure Mathematics and either Mechanics or Statistics. A small number of pupils follow a Further Mathematics course.
