Introduction to Learning for Life and Work
Learning for Life and Work is a key element of the Northern Ireland Curriculum at Key Stages Three and Four. It aims to develop knowledge and skills through a wide range of active teaching methods
Three Key Elements –
Employability
Citizenship
Personal, Social and Health Education
At Key Stage Three all pupils have one Employability/Citizenship period a week, each strand is taught for 16 weeks.
Personal, Social and Health Education is covered in form classes.
At Key Stage Four pupils cover the key elements of Learning for Life and Work through Careers Classes and focus days, Citizenship focus days and Form classes.
