'A' Level
The Chemistry department follows the AQA course for 'A' Level.
The course is designed to accommodate candidates from both Double Award and GCSE Chemistry but experience has shown that candidates should have a minimum of a Grade BB in Double Award Science with at least 70% in the Chemistry written paper or a B in GCSE Chemistry to have any real chance of success.
The course is divided into two parts:
Lower 6 - AS
Upper 6 - A2
Candidates can opt to take only the AS and concentrate on other subjects or continue to obtain a full 'A' Level.
