In Form 5, pupils carry out an investigation for coursework.  Although pupils are given a topic to investigate, they are encouraged to design their own project.  The pupils must decide which apparatus to use and carry out a suitable experiment.  Analysis of results is an important part of the coursework which is worth 25 % of the final GCSE result.
